HAND-GROWN FOOD
We grow everything at a human scale. Crops are cultivated and harvested by hand at frequent intervals so that our produce has the texture, appearance, and most importantly, the flavor that our customers desire. We use organic farming practices and minimize the use of any synthetic inputs. We trellis many of our crops by hand in order to grow healthier plants and promote ripening.

FOCUS ON CULINARY CROPS
Charles's background involved working in fine dining restaurants that sought out unusual local produce. We do grow some staple crops but we also love Chinese broccoli, spigariello, bitter melon, frisee, and many crops that aren't as easy to find at the farmers' market. Part of our mission is to expand the range of vegetable crops available in our area and continue to experiment with new crops.

COMMUNITY ACTIVISM
We started our farm based on the idea that we wanted to serve the communities of Beacon and Newburgh. We support both the Beacon and Newburgh Farmers Markets and we donate our excess produce to the Beacon Community Kitchen. We are also actively working to convince more restaurants in Newburgh and Beacon to use produce from small, local farms. In the future we hope to sell our produce at reduced prices to the local school districts.
