Community Supported Agriculture

What’s a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture is a partnership between farmers and the local community where individuals purchase shares of the farm’s harvest in advance. In return, shareholders receive a regular supply of fresh, seasonal produce throughout the growing season. This model helps support local farmers and promotes sustainable agricultural practices. When you join the Field & Larder CSA, you are not just signing up for veggies, you are becoming part of a vibrant community that celebrates delicious, locally grown produce!

What’s included?

Your CSA share is designed for two people and includes 5-6 veggies per week (and sometimes 1 fruit). Get fresh produce from June through October with weekly pickup in Beacon or Newburgh. Delicious recipes from former Chef and your local Farmer Charles will be sent to you email each week. Our CSA runs from June through October. Each month you will receive a variety of produce based on what’s in season. Here are some example shares:

June: Lettuce Mix, Potatoes, Carrots, Fava Beans, Lacinato Kale

July: Little Gem Lettuce, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Sprouting Cauliflower, Italian Basil

August: Sweet Corn, Cherry Tomatoes, Sweet Peppers, Peaches, Thai Basil

September: Heirloom Tomatoes, Lacinato Kale, Carrots, Broccolini, Sweet Peppers

October: Sweet Potatoes, Wild Arugula, Potatoes, Broccolini, Apples

    We appreciate payment in full from those who can. This helps to support our farm before the season begins.

  • Payment Plans

    We offer monthly and weekly payment plans to make our CSA more accessible.

  • Community Supported Share

    We offer a discounted Community Supported Share for those with a financial need.

FAQs

  • Field & Larder is proud to be a Certified Naturally Grown farm. Like Organic, this means that we grow clean food that is free of chemicals and GMOs.

  • We harvest and distribute fresh produce on a weekly basis. The first pick up of the season will be on Wednesday, March 29th, 2024. You will receive an email reminder an recipes each week.

  • We offer pickup at Betty’s Snack Bar in Newburgh and at Meyer’s Olde Dutch in Beacon. You can choose which location you will pick up from during checkout.

  • Yes! We schedule a yearly farm picnic for CSA members to visit and plan to host additional events this year.

  • At this time, we do not offer the option to customize the produce in your share. Instead, we provide a selection that changes throughout the growing season based on what is ready for harvest.

  • Unclaimed boxes are donated to local food pantries to help families in need and eliminate food waste.
